Oh Snap!

We've all heard it before, the battle is one of the most epic components of hip-hop structure. Now Timberland and Scott Storch are taking their stab at the art, and each other. Battles between beatmakers, seriously? Maybe I'm a skeptic, but I find it a little strange that Timbo feels the need to drop diss records so close to his own record coming out...maybe it's just coincidence, or maybe all of those marketing classes I've been taking are finally paying off. Stereogum posted the Scott (over-hyped) retort, so I'll throw up the link. Neither sides had anything too bruising to say, and I feel like ole Scotty had some trouble riding his own beat. Maybe he would prefer a skateboard?
